Glock Magazine Base Plates by Model: Fit Guide

Custom laser-engraved magazine base plates are the fastest way to make a Glock unmistakably yours — but before you order, you need to know which of your mags takes which plate. Here is the whole Glock lineup sorted by base plate family, so you can match the plate to your magazine in about ten seconds.

The rule that saves everyone a return: the base plate is set by the magazine's frame family, not by your pistol's generation. Every generation of a given magazine takes the same plate, so ignore the 'what gen am I' question and find your model in the chart below.

214 magazine base plate fit chart

Every Glock magazine falls into one of four base plate families. Find your model and you'll know which 214 plate to order, regardless of generation:

  • Standard double-stack — Glock 17, 17L, 18, 19, 19X, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 31, 34, 35, and 45. Also fits the PSA Dagger, which runs Glock-pattern magazines.
  • Large-frame — Glock 20, 21, 29, 40, and 41. Wider magazine body, so it takes its own plate.
  • Slimline (43X / 48) — Glock 43X and 48, which share the same slimline magazine.
  • Glock 43 — Glock 43 only. The single-stack 43 magazine is its own size.

Why generation doesn't matter

Glock changed grips, frames, and finishes across the generations, but the base of the magazine — the part the plate clips onto — kept the same footprint within each family. A 214 base plate has locked onto that same interface since the early guns, which is why one plate per family covers Gen 1 through Gen 5 without an adapter or a second version. Identify the family and you already know the plate.

How to pick your plate

Find your model in the chart above and order that family's plate. If you run more than one Glock, check each — a G19 and a G26 share the standard plate, but a G20 large-frame and a G43 single-stack each need their own. When in doubt, look at the magazine itself: a standard double-stack, a wider large-frame mag, a slim 43X/48 mag, and a narrow single-stack 43 mag are easy to tell apart once you know the four families.

Once the fit is right — make it yours

With the family matched, it's time to put your mark on it. Every 214 magazine base plate is laser engraved right here in Dallas, Texas — deep, permanent, cut into the metal itself, not a printed sticker that peels in a mag pouch. Run a Texas flag, an American flag, a unit crest, custom scrollwork, or one of our heritage designs. Order a matched set so every mag on your belt carries the same mark.
